To and from airports

London has five major airports: Heathrow (West of London), Gatwick (south of London), Luton (north of London), Stansted (north-east of London) and City Airport (centre-east of London).

All airports run regular train and bus services to major train stations in central London. While most train services run from 6am to 12.30am, bus services run frequently during the day and hourly throughout the night. Unlike all other airports, Luton airport is NOT directly connected to a train station and requires a short 8min bus ride from Luton airport to Luton airport parkway where the station is located. Bus transport tends to be cheaper, at the cost of a longer journey.

The Royal National Hotel, where you will be staying, is near Russell Square underground station on the Piccadilly line. The Crick where the conference will be held is near King’s Cross/St Pancras International train and underground stations, which are on the Piccadilly, Victoria, Northern, Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith and City Tube lines.

If you arrive at Heathrow, we recommend you get to the Crick or Russell Square via the Piccadilly line.
If you arrive at Stansted Airport, we recommend that you get to the Crick via the Stansted Express to Tottenham Hale and then transfer onto the Victoria line.
If you arrive at Luton Airport, we recommend that you take the shuttle bus to Luton Airport Parkway train station and then take a Thameslink train to St Pancras International.
If you arrive at Gatwick Airport, we recommend that you a Thameslink train to St Pancras International.
If you arrive at City Airport, we recommend that you take the Docklands Light Railway to Bank station and then transfer onto the Northern line.
